Faced with the unutterable, words still disintigrate...
And ever new, out of the most quivering stones, music builds her divine house in useless space.

i'm so glad i went to WEAG's youth choir production.
they always rock.
a very good reminder of what's true.
talked about the scattered post-modern distraction-filled reality we live in. and the BIG story that we forget.
so many unconnected little stories that people follow... scattered, disconnected, surreal mtv-like images and emotions... heroes are athletes and musicians... "closest to transcending is Radiohead or Jimmy Eat World coming to town..." the past is past and there is no promise in the future... now is all we live for...
and i am always wanting to be understood with nothing demanded of me.
but God is so much bigger.
it's so clear.
if only i could always remember how clear it is. i am always fitting Him in rather than fitting into Him...
and telling lies:
"i need to do this now because it's what's important right now..."
"let me listen to this and appreciate it... that's as good as communion..."
"i should build relationships now... i'll worry about truth later..."
"let me just have fun, i don't need to bring up heavy things right now..."
"i'll tolerate them... loving and sharing is too much..."
#1 lie:
"tomorrow..."
gross, but that's ok, God is bigger than my massive shortcomings.
so many artificial distractions from people.
and God.
and anything real.
gross... i'm such a sucker for them too...
well, time for something better than me...
you, yes you, if you've spent nearly as much time as me in cyberspace, you've spent more than enough time here--
go talk to God. or talk to someone else about Him.
it's much better to do that than read my incessant ramblings.
take my heart
seal it
i've screwed up
alot
Love me
let me show You
let me be drenched in You
let the Gospel pour out of me
i want to breathe you
search me
destroy all that's false in me
let me see naught but your Glory.
