Faced with the unutterable, words still disintigrate...
And ever new, out of the most quivering stones, music builds her divine house in useless space.

ok, you asked for it:

Dream Time #2!!!!!!

so last night i had a sweet dream. i think i was at the mall or, wait, no, somewhere closer to my house, maybe it was my house, but i think not... anyway, somewhere near and Rainer Maria was playing. i found them and i was like "holy crap! nobody told me about this, it wasn't on thier site or anything! sweet!" so i listened to them finish up a set and then i talked to them some. They were friendly, amiable people. i think the drummer wasn't there though. just kyle and his beautiful accomplice. So i was all pumped to be talking to one of my fav bands and then for whatever reason we started driving. i was actually following them, we were going somewhere. we went into this neighborhood that was very suburban, white house, semi-circle roads type. i think every so often they stopped and i pulled by them and we said something. eventually we stop at this one house. they get out with their gear and start to go up to the door. i ask "why are we going in here?" and they tell me "oh, we're playing another gig in here. we're doing this 90-day tour of all houses and small shows all for free" i thought that was sweet, but it must be tiring because they were playing at -least- one show every night for 90 days. in any case, i went in to find to my surprise that Tim Kuhfuss lived there! [yes Tim, you were in my dream... weird, i know] so i sat down on the white couch next to him as RM was setting up (again, no drummer) and said something like "holy crap! Rainer Maris is playing in your house?????? That's so sweet!!!!!!!!!" He kind of grinned and said "yeah, i guess you must be one of their hardcore fans or something. i just listen to them occasionally, i only started kinda recently anyway." kind of anti-climactic comment. [Disclaimer: I don't know how much Tim actually listens to RM, if at all, so if you know him, you (obviously) can't hold this for/against him] and then i saw Brian Basset accross from me on another white couch. we greeted each other. then i proceeded to go into another room [i don't remember for what reason...] while they started and i stayed in there doing something or other for a few songs. Then Kyle and Caithlin came in kind of tired and asked "what song should we do next?" Since they had already done "The Reason The Night Is Long" at the previous show, and though i wanted to hear "Planetary" or "Rise," they wanted to do a more upbeat song, so i suggested "Lost, Dropped, and Cancelled" as they simultaneously said it aloud and agreed. They played it and it was sweet. and i think some other stuff might have happened, but that's mostly where the dream ended... oddly, it ended happily; they didn't suddenly reject me, and i didn't lose them while i followed them. that's extremely unusual for me. though i did wake up in the middle of the night feeling ill and uncomfortable right after that dream. so i guess i still didn't wake up feeling good... but oh well, it was still sweet.
